Rossi Youth Matched Set

6 Nov 2006

Rossi manufactured the perfect gift for a youth be it boy or girl.  In this day when the one to beat is a young lady or her mother.

This combination of an accurate 22 LR for squirrel and rabbits, a 20 gage shotgun with a modified choke and bead front sight for birds (alive or clay), and a 243 Winchester caliber heavier rifle barrel already carrying a scope mount for that first deer season.  All three barrels in this top break combination are fitted to a single action for both safety and fit.

The receiver stock combination has a trigger pull of 12 3/4 inches.  The forearm and stock is quality matching hardwood, handfitted to the receiver and mounted with a nice recoil pad.  Think about it, that will probably be the right legth for Mrs. Sportsman also.

These three firearms in one set have a manual safety on the left of the receiver.  Also, they will not fire until the action is completely locked and the trigger drops a blocking bar from the front of the hammer.  The action break lever is on the top right of the receiver convenient to the hammer thumb.

The 22 LR barrel has a set of glow sights, the front red and the rear green,  that appear as a three dot system from the shooters position.  The rear sight is adjustable for both elevation and windage. This 18 inch barrel is also drilled and tapped for a scope mount should one be prefered to the open sights.

The 22 inch 20 gage barrel has a bead front sight and choked to modified.

The 243 Winchester, deer or varmint, barrel is fitted with a scope mount and a highly visible front sight.  This barrel is 22 inches in length and button rifled as is the 22LR barrel.

Merry Christmas and or Happy Birthday or Graduation.

I had taught my son to shoot and be responsible.  Once when I was working all night there was a noisy murder next door.  My 12 year old son had taken his mother to the bath at the end of the hall. When help arrived Mikel, my son, was sitting in the hall in front of the bath door with my revolver ready to protect his mother if needed.  Talk about one proud father.  I am.
